The Riviera, situated at Bowleaze Cove, Weymouth An art Deco property dates back to 1937 and is grade II listed. With a host of art deco features including picturesque archways, classic crittal windows, open air walkways and the iconic tower section. The Riviera is a classic building which stands majestically overlooking the Dorset coastline.
Josh and Skye had choosen to hold their wedding at the Riviera for the fact that the hotel could accommodate and very large wedding party on a very reasonable budget.
However, it became quickly evident that aspects of the hotels architecture was going to feature heavily in the way we photographed the wedding day. The view from the ceremonial rooms windows was fabulous.
The arches, the most noticable feature of the hotel, were promptly put to work.
The distinctive tower looms over the substantial driveway
Got to love a well placed (several well placed) palm trees against white and blue paintwork. Weymouth or the tropics?
The open air walkways and staircases enabled us to create this scene which Skye and Josh refer to as their "Romeo and Juliet" moment taken somewhere like a Spanish village
The open walkways are also amazing backdrops for those high-key, fashion shots
And then of course there was that magnificent view, where the hotel dominates the bay
